Diseases of internal organs in dogs and cats

The long experience and the solid scientific background of the medical staff are the distinctive characteristics of the Internal Medicine Department.

Diabete mellitus - Hypothyroidism - Hyperadrenocorticism  (Cushing’s syndrome)

Our aim: to treat metabolic diseases of dogs and cats.

Metabolic diseases can affect dogs and cats of any age; in more complex cases, the intervention of a veterinary specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine is necessary. Respiratory illnesses, endocrine diseases, gastrointestinal, liver and kidney disorders, genito-urinary and blood diseases and tumours often severely impair wellbeing of our animals and their management can be difficult. A correct diagnosis and a tailored therapy are fundamental to relieve suffering and to ensure a good quality of life for our pets.

The Internal Medicine Department, thanks to the clinical experience and the deep scientific knowledge, is a solid reference point for diagnosing and treating dogs and cats with metabolic diseases. With the help of the analysis laboratory, diagnostic imaging, surgery and intensive care or hospitalization, the Internal Medicine Department can treat at its best any metabolic disorder of dogs and cats, according to the most advanced standard used by European and American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM/ACVIM).
